Coastal Living

I grew up not far from the Chesapeake Bay and raised my own family in Harford County, Maryland, at the top of the Bay. I didn't realize how much it shaped me until I started painting. Almost every landscape I made had water in it, and each one looked like the Eastern Shore, a Lowcountry marsh, or an East Coast beach. That is coastal living for me: beach chairs and umbrellas, marsh and harbor scenes, cottages by the water, and the quiet light of the shore. — SallieO
