Rte. 68 West

Wide open meadow gives way to the soft, hazy blue of the Appalachian ridgeline rising on the horizon. The palette stays pale and pastel, so the piece reads as a remembered drive rather than a literal view. It is the moment where the coastal plain ends and the mountains begin, painted with a light, unhurried hand. A calming horizontal for a living room, bedroom, or long hallway wall.
