Coastal Homes

I've always loved painting structures. My very first paintings were childlike cityscapes: simple shapes lined up side by side until, voilà, I called it a city. Not much has changed. Today the building might be a single beach house on the coast or a cottage tucked into the mountains, but I still love the shapes and the windows, and I still imagine people inside them. These coastal homes take me right back to childhood. — SallieO
